Common Questions
Beginning therapy is a significant step, and it is natural to have questions as you consider what is best for your well-being. These FAQs are here to help you feel more comfortable starting care and to provide you need to make informed decisions about your journey toward healing.
Insurance & Payment
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. I am currently in-network with UPMC Health Plan and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. For all other insurance providers, I am considered an out-of-network provider. Please contact your insurance provider directly to verify your mental health benefits, telehealth coverage, deductible, copay, and coinsurance.
What are your self-pay fees?
Individual therapy sessions are $175 per 50-minute clinical hour. Longer sessions are available for $275+ for those looking for deeper somatic or intensive nervous-system work.
Scheduling & Sessions
How often will we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. This consistency helps us build a strong therapeutic relationship and maintain momentum in your healing process. As you feel more grounded and reach your goals, we may transition to bi-weekly sessions.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 24-hour notice for all cancellations or reschedules. Sessions cancelled with less than 24-hour notice will be charged cancellation fee, as that time has been specifically reserved for you.
Who I Work With
Who do you treat?
I work with adult women ages 21 and older who are seeking individual therapy for anxiety, stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, nervous-system regulation, and personal growth.
Online Therapy & Confidentiality
Is online therapy secure?
Yes. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform specifically designed for telehealth. Your privacy and confidentiality are my highest priority, and sessions are never recorded.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, therapy is confidential with legal and ethical exceptions related to safety, abuse, harm to self or others, and other situations required by law.
If you use insurance, certain information such as diagnosis and treatment documentation may be shared with your insurance provider for billing and coverage purposes.
Can I see you if I live outside of PA, FL, or DE?
Due to state licensing laws, I can only provide therapy to clients who are physically located in Pennsylvania, Florida, or Delaware at the time of the session. If you move out of these states, we would work together to find a referral in your new location.
Safety & Crisis
What should I do if I am in crisis?
I am not a crisis provider and cannot provide 24/7 emergency support. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), go to your nearest emergency room, or call 911 immediately.
